Gakenke District, June 25, 2025 — A day filled with joy, pride, and celebration marked a significant milestone for Little Angels School, as it held its first-ever graduation ceremony. The event was graced by the presence of Celestin Niyomugabo, Founder and CEO of VONSUNG and President of Little Angels School, along with proud parents, local authorities, educators, and distinguished guests.
This ceremony which was held in the heart of Gakenke District was a true celebration of growth, resilience, and shared purpose. From a humble beginning of just 3 learners, Little Angels School has grown to over 40 students in just two academic years — this is a testament to the school's dedication and the community’s trust.
One of the ceremony’s most touching moments came when the children performed a theatrical play highlighting the negative impact of family conflicts on students’ academic performance. This powerful act was followed by lively dances and joyful songs performed by the young graduates along with middle and baby class learners, spreading cheer and reminding all in attendance of the beauty of childhood and the importance of nurturing it.
In his remarks, Mr. Nteziyaremye, the Education Inspector of Gakenke Sector, applauded the school’s rapid and commendable progress. “From 3 to 17, and now over 40 learners—Little Angels School is on a promising path,” he said. “I am confident this number will soon reach 200. This success is the fruit of unwavering commitment, vision, and teamwork.”
Madame Virginie, Vice-President of the Parents’ Committee, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the school leadership, teachers, and fellow parents. “We are proud of the journey so far,” she said. “Our children are well-prepared for primary school and we believe they will continue to shine wherever they go.”
As the ceremony came to a close, Mr. Celestin Niyomugabo took a moment to reflect on the school's deeper mission:
"Our goal is to create a community where children feel loved, respected, and encouraged to reach their fullest potential. We are not just teaching subjects—we are building a foundation for lifelong learning and holistic growth."
He extended sincere appreciation to Little Angels Teachers, the parents and local authorities for their continued support and partnership, which he described as instrumental to the school’s progress.
The graduation ceremony concluded with a joyful and well-organized party, where guests enjoyed refreshments and celebrated together in a warm, family-like atmosphere.
Little Angels School has not only celebrated a graduation; it has also taken a bold step into a bright future, grounded in purpose, compassion, and community.
