On Thursday, 5th December 2024, I had the privilege of leading a thought-provoking session on "Research in the Health Sector" at the University of Rwanda, College of Medicine and Health Science - CMHS. Organized by the Rwanda Nutritionist Students Association (RNSA) as part of their Capacity Building program, the webinar brought together students, policymakers, and health professionals eager to explore how research transforms health outcomes.
The session delved into the critical role of evidence-based decision-making, the innovations research brings to disease prevention and treatment, and the value of data collection and analysis in shaping actionable insights. Through engaging discussions, practical examples, and interactive Q&A, participants gained a deeper understanding of how research drives real-world impact in the health sector.
One highlight of the session was exploring how research tools and methods enable informed policies and programs, fostering better health for communities. It was inspiring to see the enthusiasm and curiosity from attendees as we examined practical ways to apply research findings to address pressing health challenges.
This webinar reaffirmed the importance of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and a strong foundation in research to create sustainable and impactful health solutions.
To everyone who attended, thank you for your engagement and insightful contributions. Together, we are unlocking the untapped potential of research to transform lives.
Stay curious. Stay impactful.
